As we continue to journey in both the process of healing and drawing
awareness, education, and attention to the tragic and harmful legacy of the Indian
Residential School System, for the National Day for Truth & Reconciliation, we invite
you to join with us for a mid-day service of prayer and solemn reflection to honour and
remember the lost children and survivors of residential schools, their families and
communities.
On September 30th, we invite the community to wear orange, whether it’s a
shirt, ribbon, bracelet, etc. to honour and remember survivors like Phyllis Webstad,
who had her orange shirt taken away from her on her first day of school, and those
who did not come home from school.
