Rick is a resident of Grey Highlands near Kimberley and has been active in the Grey Bruce community after a long career in the finance and infrastructure. In addition to his involvement as Warden for Christ Church Markdale, Rick is Treasurer of Branch 333 Flesherton Markdale Legion, and recently joined the Board of the South East Grey Community Health Centre. He has also been active in politics in Bruce Grey Owen Sound at both the federal and provincial levels. Rick and his wife Margot have been married for 32 years and have three children.
